Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
If Carlsberg ran a County FA, it would probably be Sheffield's?

I've just been looking at Sheffield & Hallamshire FA's website looking for the cost of Courses and compareing them to our other local County FA's.

Here's a couple of observations;

1) Sheffield & Hallamshires are consistantly higher in cost that ALL the other surrounding County FA's - £25 for a Level 1 than others !

2) Our neighbours offer discounts for Charter Standard Clubs, Sheffield don't appear to - A carrot and stick approach you might say !

Sheffield and Hallamshire FA are known as being the richest FA in the country, now i know why!

I understand that S&H gave away 11 courses, but my point is that directly benefits only 11 people.

If the cost ( £155 each x 11 places ie £1705 ) was used accross the board, eg a £20 reduction for Charter Standard Clubs, 85 people would have benefited?

Would it not raise the standards higher accross more teams?

Again i think i've not made myself very clear.

Recently our league was offered 11 'free' places, which is where the maths above came from.

Had the cost of those 11 places been shared out , even a 50% or 25% reduction would have benefitted MORE people.

Although i suspect that because of the 'extras' offered, i suspect that the 'true' cost being met by McD's, hence the free training bits, tickets to the Community Shield etc?

...................... and if it wasn't met by McD's (with the associated conditions) why not have a draw for the 'free' Community Shield tickets, say in pairs, only open to Charter Standard Clubs?
